ASX Announcement : Resignation of Director and New Chairman

The Datasquirt board announces the election of director Mark Loveys to the position of company chairman with effect from Monday 8 December 2008 following the resignation of Lindsay Phillips.

Auckland, NEW ZEALAND–December 8, 2008–Datasquirt (ASX: DSQ), notifies that the Chairman, Lindsay Phillips, has given notice of his intention to resign as a director of the Company due to other business commitments and it has been agreed that he will step down with effect from Monday 8 December 2008.

The Board has decided to elect Mark Loveys as the new Chairman with effect from Monday 8 December 2008. Mr Loveys was involved in the architecture and design of the Company’s products and has served on the Board since September 2004. He has wide experience in the industry sectors where Datasquirt operates, including:

- founder and developer of the "Exonet" ERP business software package, now owned by MYOB (ASX:MYO) and used by thousands of SME businesses throughout Australasia and Singapore.

- founder and current member of SAP's international Software Solution Partner Council

- CEO of Enprise Solutions, a NZ private company that has developed several popular software add-ons for SAP's Business One package, sold throughout America, Europe, Asia and Australasia.

In commenting on the resignation of Lindsay Phillips, Mr Loveys said that “the Board has accepted the resignation of Lindsay Phillips with regret in view of his outstanding contribution during his time as a director from September 2007 and particularly as
Chairman from June 2008. The Board expresses its profound gratitude for Lindsay’s service to the Company and extends its best wishes to him in his future endeavours.”
